The Importance Of Proper Insurance Coverage

This topic is so important that, in addition to discussing it in the FAQ section of my website, I decided to devote a blog to it as well. It is crucial to have proper insurance coverage on your car. The first type of coverage that you need enough of is called "liability." Liabiity coverage protects you if you injure someone in a car accident. Because of the potential severity of car accidents, it is my opinion that people need at least $100,000 in liability coverage per injured person. This means that, if you injure someone in a car accident, your insurance company will pay that person up to and including $100,000 for their bodily injuries if that person suffers a
personal injury.
The second major coverage that people often don't have is called "uninsured/underinsured" coverage. This type of coverage compensates you for your personal injuries in the event that you are injured in a car accident that was caused by someone who either doesn't have insurance or doesn't have enough insurance to compensate you fully for your injuries. Especially in a city like Los Angeles, where there are so many car accidents and so many uninsured and deadbeat drivers, I recommend that people have at least $100,000 in uninsured/underinsured coverage.
